Mid summer thoughts

This day in the  2005 and 2007, I was at Stonehenge. I have such wonderful memories with my friend Jo from Leicester. We met online and we have been friends ever since. We went to Summer solstice and Stonehenge together and we also had two trips to Paris together. The second time with our husbands. Such wonderful memories with them all.

This year i am home in the warm but dull summer solstice day 2021 .... no camping out these days lol. But still  a good day.  I am not at my best so a little sorting out and working out ephemera storage is what i have been doing. I am still looking for ideas so if you have any, please share. :)  Pinterest has given me a few ideas.

Tuesday 22nd

I started the day at the doctors and have been diagnosed with Costochondritis. Severe chest pain. Its quite common. I have been given some anti-inflammatory to help with the pain. I am so glad its that and nothing worse. Apparently the symptoms can be brief of long but they will clear up and they do not know exactly what causes this.

Also i picked up some folders and a useful photo album to help with my ephemera storage. As well as a great unused recipe folder/ book which will come in handy to write down my Gluten-free recipes in.

  1. I certainly hope your costochondritis symptoms turn out to be the brief kind! And that in the meantime, the anti-inflammatories help.

How wonderful to be at Stonehenge during the Summer Solstice! And not once, but twice, you lucky girl! I was at Stonehenge in September 2009. Our tour guide had booked all the Sunset tickets for our small group and we had an hour among the stones by ourselves. We enjoyed a short Druid ceremony for part of that time since our tour guide was an Arch-Druidess of the Bardic Order.

  2. "I was at Stonehenge" is a magical sentence. I know someone with costochondritis, and stretching exercises he found on Youtube have helped. His symptoms never completely cleared up but don't cause him pain any more -just some discomfort with exertion. I hope you get past the pain soon.

  3. It's so nice to have a friend with whom you can happily and agreeably travel. Stonehenge sounds wonderful. I'd not heard of costochondritis -- I hope it won't hold you down too much and that the pain eases up.
