Double tag split

I am a little late posting this one. Should have posted yesterday. I am not posting a lot lately but much is due to my illness and the Amitryptilene i have to take in large doses for the pain. It makes me so very very tired. I am going to GP tomorrow for injections in my thumbs but will ask about alternate meds.  Will try to get round blogs in the next day or two. Missing you all x

My Tag project for Altered Pages is this duo of tags I created. I had much fun making them and am over the moon with the result.

September is Tag month so pop over and get tagging  :)  Here is the link to join in the fun.

I began by cutting two tags on my cutting machine. I used a small piece of Washi tape to secure them together for stamping and embossing. I used a dark distress ink and clear embossing powder but any colour embossing powder would work . (sorry the photo would not show as well as i wanted it to ) I stamped using the gorgeous stamp for the tags and stamped it halfway over each tag and then heat embossed because i wanted to use wet water paints over the whole tag so i wanted it water proofed on the image   Ink from HERE   Embossing Powder HERE  Lost coast Stamps HERE

Next I sprayed the tags with water and then using orange and yellow water colours in a water brush i painted over randomly. Then blotted with kitchen paper and dried with a heat gun. This muted the colours considerably.  Paints and brushes HERE

When the tags were dry i stamped with a text stamp. andomly around the edges and then perked perked up the colours and blended around the image more with the water paint again.

Finally I chose a background stamp and stamped swirls around the edges. I added ribbon in yellow tones and the tags were done. It was a lot of fun and i will be making more tags this month.
