Floral canvas

Before I was ill I created this 8 x 8 canvas for Altered Pages. This month at Altered Pages the theme is flowers. I used the gorgeous printable florals and teacups images from Altered pages , so beautifully vintage. I chose Pink and gold as my colour  base and began by using   White Gesso to prime, then added vintage book papers, scraps of other papers from my stash (waste not want not !  )
I painted the canvas in pale pinks and white acrylic paints. I then painted the border in a metallic gold (you can not tell its metallic in the image )  I collaged the images and one or two scraps onto the canvas and then I used various pens to enhance colours, details and shadows.

I hope you will pop by Altered Pages and see all the fabulous products they have plus all the great stuff happening on the blog

This edit is for the sadness and devastation we feel for everyone in Manchester today. Prayers and love

  2. Wonderful canvas. The suicide bomber attack in Manchester is so awful, I could hardly believe it when I saw it on the news. My heart goes out to all who were affected, and everyone living there. Hugs, Valerie
